At WJ we are all part of one large family and sometimes it’s important for our staff to have a bit of downtime. On the 13th September a number of our staff took to the golf course to take part in the annual British Drilling Association Golf Day.
Taking place at the prestigious Portal Golf Course in Tarporley, Cheshire, the event was exceedingly well attended with 52 competitors from 13 different companies, and reinforced enjoyment, competition and camaraderie with a range of different prizes up for grabs – including the best putters, closest to the pin and longest drive as well as three team competitions.
WJ’s team was made up of a range of staff from across the business including management, engineers, drillers and yard staff.
Unfortunately WJ came away empty handed from the team competitions, although one of our team – Will Judge – did come home with the Longest Drive award – well done Will! And well done to all of the other teams and winners!
