WJ featured in Tunnels and Tunelling International Magazine

Tunnels and Tunnelling Magazine is one of the world’s leading and longest established trade journals for the tunnelling industry with a worldwide digital and online reach of over 30,000 individuals per month.

Dewatering and tunnelling often go hand in hand on a large project and throughout WJ’s history we have been heavily involved in numerous tunnelling projects including Conwy Crossing, Crossrail, Thames Tideway and most recently HS2 in the UK, as well as many more overseas. It was therefore a high honour indeed when WJ were invited to feature in the June 2022 issue of the magazine, with a technical thought piece by WJ’s founder and Group Chairman Dr Toby Roberts, as well as interviews with WJ Group’s Managing Director, Richard Fielden and WJ UK’s Operations Director, Neil Coulter, and the much-coveted front cover!

In his article, Dr Roberts discussed the various dewatering strategies and considerations for cross passages, connection tunnels, caverns and adits, drawing on his and WJ’s extensive worldwide experience to provide an in depth and comprehensive article. Richard and Neil further drew on WJ’s global experiences discussing some of the dewatering challenges experienced on Crossrail in the UK, ECLRT in Toronto, Lodz Fabryczna in Poland and throughout the Middle East.

Both articles and the magazine in general will prove to be an engrossing and information read for all with an interest in dewatering, tunnelling and the industry as a whole and is available now from https://www.tunnelsonline.info/
