WJ Groundwater is very pleased to announce that it is now an accredited member of Achilles. WJ qualifies for accreditation with both Achilles UVDB and Achilles Building Confidence that creates procurement opportunities within the Utilities sector (UVDB) and the Construction sector (Building Confidence).
To become accredited candidate organisations are required to complete an extensive audit and questionnaire. The compliance sectors include proof of efficient and thorough procedures in the areas of: Health & Safety; Working Environment, Quality Control, Training and Competence Programmes, Social and Ethical Behaviour, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Emergency Management and Site Security.
The benefits to being Achilles accredited are numerous. For instance, organisations can consult the Achilles network (using cloud-based technology) that allows buyers to manage risk and procure potential contractors and for suppliers to win new business. A lot of administration time goes into finding suitable partners, so being accredited means that a lot of time and cost can be saved without having to ‘vet’ or be ‘vetted’ every time a new contract needs to be set in motion.
“These are both well respected accreditations in their sector and will hold us in good stead when tendering for jobs and becoming preferred suppliers in the future,” said Steve Cooke, WJ Groundwater’s Health & Safety Manager.
The other benefits to being Achilles accredited are:
- Access new business opportunities locally, nationally and globally,
- Cut the cost of pre-qualification,
- Avoidance of duplicate effort by completing one pre-qualification questionnaire for all buyers,
- Prove your quality and competitive edge,
- Use our feedback to drive continuous improvement.
