WJ have a long and illustrious history of working in the Republic of Ireland and Cork in particular, dating back to our work on the Lee Tunnel back in the early 1990s, through to projects in recent years for water treatment works, and residential and commercial developments.
One of these recent projects was Penrose Dock, where WJ installed a highly effective deepwell dewatering system, for PJ Hegarty, which ran between 2018 and 2020. We are very pleased to announce that at the end of May, the Penrose Dock development won two awards at the Building and Architect of the Year Awards – The Building of the Year in the Large Office Category as well as the Overall Building of the Year Award.
WJ would like to congratulate all of our staff who were involved in the project – in particular Steve Thomas, Peter Morgan and Michael Cummiskey, as well as all the other contractors involved on the award winning World Class Gold LEED Building project!
